Shortlist for BT's Southern awards

The Brighton Evening Argus and the Southern Daily Echo will be competing for the title of BT’s Southern Daily Newspaper of the Year at the regional finals on May 26.

It will be a journalist from one of those newspapers who wins the title of Daily News Journalist of the Year, because the nominations are David Edwards, of the Evening Argus, and Rebecca Paveley and Adam Postans, of the Daily Echo.

Each of the winners will go through to the national finals, where their work will be judged against that of winners from the other eight regional finals. The national awards will be presented at a ceremony at the Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington, London, on June 29.
