HoldtheFrontPage has been nominated for a prestigious digital publishing prize.

‘The home of regional press journalism’ has made it on to the shortlist for the Newspaper Society’s Advertising & Digital Media Awards, which will this year be presented at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds.

The awards celebrate regional press excellence in advertising and digital media initiatives.

Last year we received a certificate of merit in the hotly-contested Best Niche Internet Site category, and we will be hoping to go one better this time around.

In 2003 and 2004 we scooped the award for Best Niche Internet Site – Commercial, and have been nominated in the competition every year since the launch of HTFP.

Awards will be handed out in five digital media categories at the event, in addition to a host of advertising gongs.

As well as Best Niche Internet Site, there will be prizes for Daily Newspaper Internet Site of the Year, Weekly Newspaper Internet Site of the Year, Best Web Design and Best Digital Media Development.

Among the other nominees – each up for one or more awards – manchestereveningnews.co.uk, scotsman.com, and newburytoday.co.uk from the Newbury Weekly News.
