BA Hons Journalism and Public Relations
This degree is aimed especially at those interested in pursuing a career in the professional communications industries, including journalism. The structure of the programme allows students to focus on the core areas of journalism and PR, and to select a range of options and work placements.
The programme stresses the inter-relationship of practical and theoretical knowledge at each level. Thus, each of the separate pathways through the degree allows students the opportunity both to develop practical writing skills appropriate to their chosen area and to gain a broader understanding of the way the industry is structured in each case.
