Summer School to teach investigative journalism skills

A summer school for investigative journalism is to be held later this year at City University in London.

Three days of workshops, seminars and talks will take place for anyone interested in learning more about undercover reporting, making sense of financial and business documents and organising investigations.

Other topics covered will include libel, working in dangerous environments, advanced internet research and interviewing.

Among the speakers will be Pulitzer Prize winners Seymour Hersh, who broke the Abu Ghraib story, Lowell Bergman, whose fight with tobacco companies was the subject of the film 'The Insider'; and the award winning undercover reporter Gunther Wallraff and the Guardian’s David Leigh.

The summer school will be held from July 20 to 22.
