Journalism accreditation and the relevance of the National Council for the Training of Journalists is to come under discussion at a seminar organised by the Association for Journalism Education.
Media trainers from universities across the UK and Ireland are to gather at Staffordshire University later this month, where topics will include the content of NCTJ exams and the requirements of the NCTJ when accrediting higher education courses.
Assessment methods will also come under the spotlight, along with marking, getting the best out of students and teaching grammar online.
Speakers will include Association chair Chris Frost and Glyn Mon Hughes from Liverpool John Moores University, Jackie Errigo from Brighton University and Mike Green from the University of Central Lancashire.
The one-day seminar will be held on Friday, June 16.
More details can be found at www.ajeuk.org where discussions have already begun on the AJE's bulletin board.
