Mix of six earn reporting and photography diplomas

Six journalists and photographers employed by North Wales Newspapers Ltd have become the first in Wales to gain Newspaper Society Diplomas in journalism.

The six, all products of NWN's in-house NVQ training scheme, received their diplomas at the company's annual awards night ceremony from chairman Russell Whitehair.

Journalism diplomas went to Claire Hart, North Wales Chronicle; Antonia Merola, North Wales Pioneer; David Lawson and Sammy Holloway, Border Counties Advertizer.

Photography diplomas went to Mandy Jones, Wrexham Evening Leader and Katy Morgan, Denbighshire Free Press.
