College plans journalism open day

A degree course open day will allow prospective students to explore newsrooms and studios, learn about studying a journalism degree, and help them decide on a career in the media.

The Surrey Institute of Art and Design is holding an open day on September 15 to show students and parents its award-winning journalism degree course in action.

The Institute is one of Europe's largest specialist colleges of art, design, media and communication.

Its professionally oriented degree combines theory and practice and attracts working journalists and guest editors which gives students reporting opportunities.

In the last few months the course has resulted in students winning a number of accolades including a commendation in the National Magazine Academy awards.

For further enquiries or to book a place, please call 01252 892736.
