Young journalists and photographers rewarded

Young journalists and photographers have had their hard work rewarded at a graduation ceremony at Grimsby College.

The students recently completed an NVQ level four in either newspaper journalism, sub-editing or photography, run by East Coast Media, a purpose-built media training centre based at the college.

The students received their certificates from senior industry representatives, including Peter Moore, editor of the Grimsby Telegraph.

He paid tribute to the success of East Coast Media and the achievements of the graduating students.

One of the certificates he presented was to Tim Jays, the Grimsby Telegraph's consumer reporter.

Tim said: "The course was hard work, but it's certainly worthwhile in the end.

"I feel I benefited both as a journalist and an individual."
