Here comes the bride.....with no expense spared!

It seems the credit crunch and recession are yet to hit the bridalwear market.

Despite widespread job losses and the collective tightening of belts, brides-to-be are still determined to have 'their day', on their terms.

The UK bridal market has grown by 20pc over the past five years and now represents a £128m market, according to a new report by consumer analysts Mintel.

It is one of the few areas of retail to generally escape the High Street chain, find-one-in-every-town trend.

So how are specialist wedding shops on your patch faring? Is there a family-run store which has been passed down the generations and staying strong against the economic downturn?
