Who has the best publicity?

Campaign group PETA pulled another one of its high-profile publicity stunts when it placed a near-naked pregnant woman in a small cage in Covent Garden.

PETA – which means People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals – said it was to highlight the inhumane and cramped conditions in which some pigs are kept.

Local charities and campaign groups are always looking for new ways to increase their publicity.

You could take a look back at ten really successful events held on your patch.

You can also throw in one that was really outrageous.

Any approach to a charity may prompt it into coming up with new ideas and raising the publicity bar even further.
