Off-duty snapper in blaze drama near-miss

A Derby Evening Telegraph photographer who went out to capture pictures of a massive fire at a local warehouse almost became part of the drama himself - when a power cable crashed down to the ground, narrowly missing him.

Marc Dewhurst drove from his Long Eaton home to nearby Castle Donington after more than 70,000 pallets went up in flames at around 9pm on Monday, sneaking past a police cordon to get a closer look at the blaze.
