Organisers of the Picture Editors' Awards have put out a call for entries for this year's competition.
A prize fund of more than £15,000 is once again on offer, with all winners chosen by a ballot of working picture editors from across the British Isles.
For the first time all entries submitted will appear in a gallery on the awards' website once the competition has closed.
Changes have also been made to some of the rules of the competition, allowing photographers to now submit image files of up to 750Kb each, up to five photographs for the single image categories and two portfolios for the Photo Essay Award.
Among the categories this year are Photographer of the Year, which has a prize of £4,000, Regional Newspaper Photographer of the Year, Photographer of the Year - Local Newspapers, and Young Photographer of the Year.
Three awards will also be made for the Newspaper of the Year, Regional Newspaper of the year, and Newpaper Magazine of the Year, and judges will be looking for titles which demonstrate an enthusiasm for good photography both in how it is taken and how it is displayed to the reader.
The deadline for individual categories is noon on Tuesday, February 14. Newspapers have until March 1 to submit their entries.
Winners will be announced at during a ceremony at the Guildhall in London on Thursday, March 23.
