The nominees for the student photography category at this year's Picture Editors' Awards have been announced, with four snappers in the frame.
Jon Enoch, who was an NCTJ trainee in Sheffield before joining the Lincolnshire Echo, Christopher Price from the University of Bolton, Clara Molden from Norton College in Sheffield and Julian Finney, who studied at Nottingham Trent University before joining Getty Images, are all on the shortlist.
Each of them have now been invited to meet the judges in London on May 23 for an interview, and the winner will be announced during a ceremony at the Guildhall in London later that evening.
Their nominated images can be seen here.
The BG Group Student Award was set up to encourage photographic students who hope to embark on a career in photographic journalism.
All shortlisted entrants will be given help with work experience placement, and vouchers for materials, processing and printing.
The overall winner will be named BG Group Student of the Year, and will receive the Nikon Challenge Trophy, a Nikon D70 camera kit and a cheque for £1,000.
Winners in the Portfolio and Single Image categories will also be announced during the awards ceremony.
