Ambition fulfilled as agency photographer wins USA post

News agency photographer Steven Dennett is leaving Sussex-based firm Connors to take up a new post in Miami.

He's been offered the job at American agency Splash, and leaves for Florida early next month.

Steven, (left), began working as a 16-year-old, part-time, for the Mid Sussex Times weekly newspaper, and also worked for the Evening Argus at Brighton before Connors asked him to join them when he was 18.

While on Argus jobs, he sometimes had the unusual assignment of working on stories written by his father Phil, of Burgess Hill, West Sussex who worked for paper for nearly 15 years.

Many of his pictures have been given prominent treatment in the national newspapers.

And although Steven, (24), of Haywards Heath, has enjoyed working at Connors, he wants to fulfil an ambition to work in America, a favourite country of both him and his wife Lindsay. They married in Las Vegas earlier this year while on a three-month world trip.
