New image library is launched

A new image library is being launched which the owners claim has the potential to go head-to-head with the Gates and Getty empires.

Theimagefile.com plans to be the only "truly online" image broker and multi-functional web application designed specifically for professional photographers.

Its features have been designed to quickly set it apart in an industry dominated by traditional image libraries.

Founded by professional photographer James Duncan and IT entrepreneur Howard Butterfield, theimagefile.com will offer professional photographers a unique range of features.

Howard believes that the "rich feature list" of theimagefile.com combined with a competitive pricing structure should place it in a league above the competition.

He said: "Theimagefile will offer so many more features than traditional image libraries while delivering pound for pound better value that we are confident it is going to become the professional photographers' broker of choice."
