A news agency has been swamped with requests for prints of a breathtaking image of Concorde's final flight.
The historic picture was a once in a lifetime opportunity for South West News snapper Lewis Whyld, who took the shot over the Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol.
It was used in newspapers around the world after Lewis secured a ride in a helicopter shadowing Concorde on its way back to Filton, where it was built.
Lewis said: "It was a once in a lifetime opportunity and it was down to me to record such an historic event, so there was a lot of pressure on me to get it right.
"The helicopter was flying 1,000ft above Concorde.
"I was strapped to the chair but I had to lean out of the helicopter to get the shot."
Copies of the picture (16x24in) can be obtained from South West News on 0117 906 6550 or at www.concordefinalflight.com for £55.Back to the photography index
