Press snapper's book marks 30 years in the business

A book celebrating award-winning Central Independent Newspapers chief photographer Allan Williamson's 30 years behind the lens goes on sale on Saturday.

Moments In Time features some of the most dramatic, heartwarming and stunningly beautiful pictures taken by Allan across the three decades since he joined the Lichfield Mercury.

Major events, visiting celebrities and a sprinkling of tragic memories are captured in the selection of pictures, published by Lichfield Press.

In a foreword to the book, royal snapper Lord Lichfield praises Allan's dedication and artistry, and his commitment to upholding sound journalistic values in serving the local community.

Priced at £20, Moments In Time goes on sale at bookseller James Redshaw in Dam Street, Lichfield, on December 6.

The book comes in addition to an exhibition of Allan's work, also called Moments In Time, now on show at Lichfield Library Gallery until December 17.
