Impressive images from members of the British Press Photographers Association are set to be published in a new book to celebrate their craft.
It will be launched at an exhibition at the Royal National Theatre next year and an appeal has gone out to members to dig through their files for superlative work.
The book will contain the very best of members' work from 1989 - when the last BPPA book was published - to 2003.
The Association is hoping to include submissions from all the key events of this period.
Chairman Jeff Moore told members: "This retrospective is not just about the "blood and guts", we need great sports, brilliant portraiture, hard and soft news, classic features, real humour, celebrity and royals, indeed just about anything else shot for newspapers and magazines that stands out as great photography."
The end product will be a 350-page 11in by 11in hardback, with a cover price of £30. All members will be entitled to a free copy.
