Nightclub bouncers in Bristol have turned body-beautiful to give readers an eyeful of what they have to offer.
They posed naked for Evening Post photographer Ben Birchall (right) after requesting him specifically for the job.
They were so moved by the paper's fundraising effort for poorly 16-year-old Daryl Hembrough, who was born with a fused skull and has to undergo 120 operations.
His dream is to swim with dolphins and the doormen and women from The Works are helping raise the cash by producing a risqué calendar.
Reporter Sarah Feeley heard about their plans through her contacts and got broad-minded Ben to mock up some nearly-naked non-calendar snaps to illustrate the story.
She said: "We wanted to give readers a taster of what the calendar would look like and spark some interest among readers.
"Post photographer Ben Birchall was chosen as the man for the job, and the pics were so fantastic and he was such fun to work with that the bouncers and club manager asked him to shoot the whole calendar, and he accepted.
"It took Ben hours and hours but he shot the 12 calendar photos, each featuring a different bouncer and each with a different nightclub-related theme.
"He really worked his socks off, and the photos look absolutely brilliant. And like a true gent, he wouldn't take any money for photographing the calendar.
"The results are truly amazing and hopefully the club will sell enough calendars to send Daryl swimming with dolphins."
Ben said: "I don't really have time for charity runs or head shaves and that sort of thing because I'm usually out covering them.
"This was my chance to contribute - if I hadn't they may well have had to go out and pay someone to shoot the calendar."
The calendar, priced at £4.50, can be obtained from The Works, at 15 Nelson Street, Bristol. Further information can be obtained by calling 0117 929 2658.
