Death of former freelance photographer

Friends and family have gathered for the funeral of photographer Bryan Waite.

The 75-year-old died in hospital, nine months after suffering a stroke while on holiday in Majorca.

The former freelance photographer had worked for newspapers including the Wharfedale and Airedale Observer in a career which spanned 43 years.

He had also won top awards for his wedding photography and portraiture, before retiring in 1996.

Bryan is survived by his wife Vera, daughter Julie and son John.
