Photographer's image "gives something back"

Bristol Evening Post photographer Barbara Evripidou has used one of her prize-winning images to help raise money for a children's charity.

Barbara, (32), recently held an exhibition of her pictures, taken in New York, Paris and San Francisco.

And visitors were invited to buy raffle tickets for a framed picture of St Peter and St Paul Church in San Francisco - where it is thought Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio were married.

The raffle raised £92, and this has been donated to the Down Syndrome Education Trust.

Barbara decided to raffle one of her photographs for the trust after a picture she took during one of its meetings went on to win a national competition organised by Mencap.

She said: "It was lovely to be able to give something back to a worthy cause."
