Herald man shares Falklands memories

Revealing pictures from the Falklands conflict of 1982, taken by Evening Herald picture editor Pete Holdgate, form the backbone of a new exhibition in Plymouth.

Pete was a green beret-trained Royal Navy Petty Officer photographer attached to the Commando Forces and took one of the images that came to be a symbol of the conflict.

His experiences and photographs are among several first-hand accounts in the display, which marks the conflict's 20th anniversary.

The event runs at the Theatre Royal, Royal Parade, Plymouth, until Tuesday May 28.
