The Flaws Files revisited

A photographer who has been recording life and events in the Westcountry and mid-Devon for the last 50 years is bringing his catalogue of work to a wider audience.

Lee Flaws was the staff photographer at the Mid-Devon Gazette for many years and still lives in Tiverton.

He is still a regular columnist but the paper is taking the opportunity to showcase his work in a regular feature The Flaws Files.

His role over the years is still recognised locally - he was the public face of the Gazette for many people in the 1950s, 60s and 70s.

Many of his older photographs that are to appear have been processed from glass negatives, which were the standard for their day, and of course, most are in black and white.

Readers are being given a chance to get a permanent reminder of the events from those years - the Gazette is offering prints for sale.
