Pet inspires snapper's artwork

A photographer who used to work for the Lewisham News Shopper is displaying some of her artwork in a photography exhibition at Blackheath.

Lucy Cohen and her partner Michael Kalesteras are taking part in the Independent Photography Project exhibition at Woodlands Art Gallery.

They are displaying six sculpted dogs made from materials that are meant to represent the dogs' personalities, including wire wool, glass, wax and silicone.

Lucy's own dog Deedee, a Staffordshire bull terrier found as a stray, inspired the work.

The exhibition runs until November 14.
