Zeta Jones boosts funding push

A veteran news photographer is pulling in cash for the hospital that helped him during a gruelling fight against cancer.

Len Pitson, who used to work for the South Wales Evening Post, clocking up 45 years there, remembers photographing Catherine Zeta Jones when she was a child.

His good contacts look set to boost the fundraising for Swansea's Singleton Hospital at a fund-raising evening on Monday.

He said: "Catherine's dad David has been in touch with me and he says something of hers will be there to be auctioned off on the night."

Barclays Bank has already pledged £750 to the 68-year-old's fund.
