Richard recovering after close call with a rollercoaster

A press photographer injured by a passing rollercoaster as he took pictures at an adventure park is recovering after hospital treatment.

Western Morning News man Richard Austin suffered a gash to his head in the incident at Crealy Adventure Park.

He was struck by the moving rollercoaster train while taking photos from an area close to the rollercoaster not open to the public.

He said: "I leaned forward for the photograph.

"The next thing I knew there were paramedics standing over me."

After treatment at an Exeter hospital he continued his recovery at home.
