A freelance photographer at the Redditch Advertiser has won a top accolade for his entry in the National Business Calendar Awards.

Nic Gaunt was presented with a certificate of merit in the contest after facing stiff competition from entries by Rolls Royce and British Airways.

Nic and his wife Becky are both freelance photographers with the Advertiser and Nic said: "It feels great to have won the award.

"I tried to make the calendar show how something as simple and everyday as ink can, in the right hands, be used to create amazing images."

Photographs from the calendar, which show innovative uses of ink, will now tour the country.
