Press photographer Eldon Johnson has died suddenly aged 56.
Eldon spent his career with weekly titles in his native Sussex as well as working as a wedding photographer.
Born in Eastbourne, Eldon was one of five children and developed an interest in photography at school.
His first forays into the field were as a commercial photographer with a local company before spending several years working on cruise ships.
Eldon joined the former Eagle newspaper, in Eastbourne, before moving to the Eastbourne News, Eastbourne Citizen, Sussex Express and the Mid-Sussex Times.
He also did freelance work for the Eastbourne Gazette and Herald at weekends. His hobbies included sailing, socialising and driving his his prized possession, his Porsche.
