Wanted woman caught after photo published in newspaper

A woman was arrested by police within hours of her photo appearing in the Lancashire Telegraph.

Burnley Crown Court issued a warrant for her arrest last October and police had been trying to trace her ever since.

But within just a couple of hours of her face appearing in the Blackburn-based daily she was arrested.

The woman was spared jail last June after giving police a false name when she was caught driving without insurance.

After failing to comply with the resultant community order she was summoned to court but failed to turn up.

She was one of a number of local criminals local police have on a most-wanted list.
