Man bailed after photographer dies

A man who was arrested after the death of press photographer Brian Waite has been released on bail without charge pending further police inquiries.

The 44-year-old man, from the Ely area of Cambridgeshire, has been told to return to Ely police station on June 28.

Mr Waite (50) was on an assignment for the Eastern Daily Press on May 31 when he suffered a heart attack after what police described as "an altercation" in Silver Street, Ely.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. A postmortem revealed that he died of a heart attack.
