Dave Charlton's picture of a beggar on Grey Street, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, was among 50 Evening Chronicle photos displayed at a city museum

An exhibition of pictures by award-winning photographers on the Evening Chronicle, Newcastle, went on show at the city's Discovery Museum.

Newcastle at Night contained 50 photographs showing life after dark - from famous landmarks and beggars in the street to sporting events and clubbers having fun.

The exhibtion was the latest in a series staged by the Chronicle at the museum, where they have attracted thousands of visitors.
