Regional newspaper publisher Archant has appointed Jonathan Hustler to their board as executive director.
The 52-year-old has been managing director of Archant Life, their regional magazine business, since it was set up in 2001.
A student photographer has produced a 2008 calendar of pictures of local priests. Calendarium Loidensis by Matthew Lloyd, who is studying at Sheffield College, features 12 priests from the Diocese of Leeds.
It has been produced to encourage more people into the priesthood.
Vincent Boni, managing director of Newsquest Somerset, won one of the company's top awards. Vincent took the 2007 Excellence Award for Managing Directors and Publishers, beating competition from across Newsquest's nationwide divisions.
