A photographer was involved in a scuffle outside court as he tried to snap a teenager who threw a lamb onto a fire.
The snapper, working for the Highland News, was outside Inverness Sheriff Court to take a picture of the 17-year-old.
The defendant had previously admitted throwing the lamb onto a bonfire at his birthday party.
But as the photographer tried to take the photo a man, believed to be a family member, took exception to his presence.
Highland News editor Paul Breen said: "It was more of a scuffle and he was taken aback.
"He did have his camera pushed back at him and jabbed in his face. He was not injured and it's not put him off – you've got to accept these things as part of the job.
"It's pretty uncommon, in my experience, but in some of the bigger centres it's not. Courts tend to be very emotional places and often in the cold light of day later on people regret their actions.
"We had to take the picture from a freelancer because he didn't get one."
The photographer, who did not want to be named, said: "I was trying to get a picture and this guy kept coming between us.
"I think he took a swipe at me but he definitely hit the camera."
