Journalists' Charity fundraiser to be hosted by Irish Ambassador

The Journalists' Charity is to hold a VIP reception at the Embassy of Ireland in London next month.

The fundraising event is being hosted by David Cooney, the new Irish Ambassador in London, who was previously head of the Irish United Nations Mission in New York.

It follows a successful event at the Embassy in Grosvenor Place last year, which was hosted by Daithi O'Ceallaigh, who has since moved on to the United Nations in Geneva.

Proceeds from ticket sales go to the Journalists' Charity and last year raised £4,000.

This year's reception will be on November 13, between 6pm and 8pm.

Wine and light refreshments will be provided.

Tickets are £20 each and must be booked in advance via the Journalists' Charity on 01306 887511 or e-mail:
