Regional press journalists who have graduated within the past ten years are being sought to share their experiences to help people who are looking to get their first step on the industry ladder.
Freelance journalist Rowena Forbes is looking for volunteers who would be willing to complete a short tick-box questionnaire about their career path so far.
She is also hoping some volunteers would be willing to answer a few more in-depth questions - either by e-mail or telephone - providing cases studies about pros and cons of the job, what wannabe journalists can expect and what it takes to succeed.
The information received will be used to update the graduate careers website www.prospects.ac.uk, which already has a dedicated newspaper journalist section here.
