A complaint that the Hampstead and Highgate Express intruded into the privacy of comedian Ricky Gervais by publishing a photograph of his house has been resolved.
It is understood the star was unhappy about coverage in April over complaints from his neighbours about noise from builders at his home. The local paper received a series of legal letters claiming it had breached his privacy.
The paper itself is understood to have denied any wrongdoing, as its coverage did not include the address or house number.
Ham & High editor Geoff told holdthefrontpage the matter had now been settled, but under the terms of the settlement he was unable to comment further.
He said: "It has been satisfactorily resolved by correspondence."
It is understood that lawyers for Gervais did not contact the Press Complaints Commission.
