Reunion planned for Ex-Express & Echo staff

Former Exeter Express & Echo staff who worked at the paper between 1965 and 1995 are to gather for a reunion.

Reporters, photographers, advertising reps and staff from all other departments are expected to attend the event, to be held at George's Meeting House in Exeter.

It is being organised by former front desk staff Lin Hilton and Lyn Barnes - who was known at the Echo as Barney - following calls from former colleagues still local to the area.

A small group from the front desk have kept in touch and meet up three times a year, and it was decided to open up the next get-together to staff who worked in other departments.

The reunion, which will be an informal event, will be held on September 21, from 7pm.
