Journalist flies the flag for Britain at World Triathlon Championships

Oxford Mail reporter Emma-Kate Lidbury is to represent Great Britain at the World Triathlon Championships for a second time.

Emma-Kate, who only took up triathlon two years ago, flew out to Hamburg in Germany yesterday and will race on Sunday.

It follows her top 10 performance at the World Triathlon Championships in Switzerland last year.

At that event she finished eighth in the women's 25 to 29 age group, completing a gruelling 1500m swim, 40km bike ride and 10km run in a time of two hours, 28 minutes and 15 seconds.
