The Suffolk Free Press has helped to reunite a father with his long-lost daughter - and hit the headlines itself after a bizarre coincidence with the search.

The weekly paper took a photograph of Michael Dick as part of its coverage of his search, and after his daughter, Lisa, came forward it was discovered that she too was in the picture - in the background.

The amazing tale began when Londoner Michael travelled to Sudbury to find the daughter he had not seen for more than ten years, and after unsuccessfully trawling the streets and electoral register he turned to the Free Press to put an appeal in the paper.

Reporter Barbara Eeles whisked him off to take a picture of him and his other two daughters, Samantha and Shannon, in the town centre and within hours of the paper hitting the streets Lisa contacted Michael.

But not only had Lisa spotted her dad in the paper she had spotted herself too - in the same picture in the background.
