Staff at the Bolton News have completed an eight-mile Midnight Memories Walk, to raise money for the town's hospice.
Sub-editor Linda Oliver and assistant editor Lynn Ashwell were among 1,500 women to walk through the streets of Bolton in the early hours of the morning.
They set off from Bolton Town Hall on the stroke of midnight and despite aching calves and tired feet, they made it back to the town hall for tea and bacon butties before dawn.
Linda clocked up a time of just under two hours while Lynn came in at two-and-a-half hours.
Lynn said: "It was a fantastic atmosphere with cars pipping their horns and people lining the streets, cheering everyone on."
It is estimated that the walk raised £150,000 for Bolton Hospice.
It aimed to unite women, and to give people the chance to commemorate a relative or friend as well as raising much-needed funds for the hospice.
