News agency targets citizen journalists with revamped website

Citizen journalists are being targeted via a newly revamped website from Cavendish Press.

The Manchester-based agency has unveiled a new-look site designed by Kudos Web Design, which has a host of new features including a Sell Your Story page and a Sell Your Pictures page - designed to encourage contributions from "citizen journalists".

It also hosts a digital picture library of more than 200,000 images which can now be accessed through via the home page, and allows users to book a photographer using an online form.

Managing director Jon Harris said: "The new user-friendly site demonstrates how proud we are to say Cavendish Press is one of the most versatile independant press agencies in the UK - covering the latest major news stories, the lives of soap stars and sporting heroes, the big real life features and the biggest concerts and gigs in town.

"We believe the site will make us bigger and better."
