A weekly countryside diary from the Dundee Courier and Advertiser has been published in book form.
Angus Whitson’s nature column is called Man With Two Dogs, from which the book Man With Two Dogs: A Breath of Fresh Air From Scotland takes its title.
The book, published by White Publishing, was launched with a signing session at Waterstone’s in Dundee.
It is a new collection of countryside articles, anecdotes, reminiscences and recipes from the man renowned as Scotland’s favourite dog walker.
Accompanied by his faithful friends, Macbeth, a white West Highland terrier, and his black Labrador Inka, Angus sets out each morning to see what the day will bring and records the changing seasons and moods of the countryside with the knowledge and passion of someone who loves and understands rural ways.
Season by season, Man with Two Dogs gives a breath of fresh air from Scotland - and also presents a collection of recipes to help make the most of Scotland’s natural larder.
