All existing media, arts and design courses at the University of Westminster are expected to go ahead as normal in the autumn after two fires gutted part of the Harrow Campus at Northwick Park.
One of the media, arts and design blocks was destroyed a little over a week ago.
Staff have begun to assess the damage following the blaze, which was tackled by 25 fire crews. Staff are compiling a complete inventory of damaged equipment and facilities.
One of the blocks is being cleaned up after suffering smoke damage, while new access is being created for another block when the buildings are declared safe. A third block was destroyed.
Provost Professor Simon Jarvis, said the next week or so would see a gradual return to all areas at the Northwick Park campus.
He said: "As you can imagine, this is a massive task and it will be some time before we can determine exactly the extent of the damage, and how soon it will be possible to move back in."
He added that that the university expected to deliver all existing media, arts and design courses as planned in the new academic year beginning in September.
Vice-Chancellor Dr Geoffrey Copland said: "The campus is making great, and successful, efforts to get back to normal as far and as fast as possible. Both staff and students have my total support and sympathy following this terrible loss of valuable facilities and work."
