Hundreds of Glasgow's poorest children will enjoy their first seaside holiday, thanks to The Herald.
Last month The Herald reported that a £5,000 grant secured from the Gannett Foundation, the charitable arm of Newsquest's parent company, had allowed Glasgow Children's Holiday Scheme to buy a fourth static caravan on a family-friendly site at Wemyss Bay.
And as a result of the article the charity has also received a further donation of £20,000.

Staff at Archant London's North London Newspapers, publishers of the Hornsey Journal series, Islington Gazette and Camden Gazette, hot-footed it for charity in a fire walk.
Twenty staff members and friends walked barefoot over a five-metre stretch of burning embers set up at a local cricket ground in aid of the North London Hospice and The Hornsey Trust in Muswell Hill, which supports kids with cerebral palsy and their families.
The team are hoping to raise £3,000 and hope to double this through the Archant Gold match-funding scheme.

Telegraph & Argus reporter Rebecca Wright has received an 'unsung hero' award at Bradford Council's Community Harmony Awards.
The journalist attended the presentation not realising that she would be one of the recipients.
She was recognised for her efforts in boosting the number of nominations for this year's awards through the T&A, and was praised for her "enthusiasm and vigour".
