Former journalist found dead at home aged 39

Former journalist David Bamber has been found dead by police who broke into his London home.

Concerned friends raised the alarm after not being able to get in touch with the 39-year-old, who used to work at the Hull Daily Mail before becoming Parliamentary correspondent at The Sunday Telegraph and later home affairs correspondent.

He was most recently a senior researcher for Fraser Kemp, the MP for Houghton and Washington East.

A post mortem examination found that David died from natural causes and there will be no inquest.

His father, Peter Bamber, told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph that his son had died from gastrointestinal bleeding.
