Former colleagues are trying to track you down, along with many others, for a 21st reunion to mark the demise of the Evening Despatch in Darlington.

A get-together is being held on April 21 for editorial staff who worked on the paper - and responses have come from people going back as far as the 1960s and up to 1986, when the paper folded.

But there are still people who might like to come and don’t know about it. The organisers are asking people who know of their whereabouts to contact them, or the organisers, with a telephone number or e-mail address where they can be contacted.

Others who have lost touch over the years include Jimmy Gilchrist, Micky Burke, Stan Abbott, Hugh Little, Alan Gilliland, Martin Lilleker, John Aspden, Red Williams, Steve Butterworth, Hugh McDougall, Heather Stafford, Bill Minns, Guy Simpson and Mike Smith.
