Off-duty editor secures exclusive video for Journal website

North Wales Newspapers digital editor George Green landed a video exclusive for the Rhyl & Prestatyn Journal - while out walking his neighbour's dog.

He was out for an evening stroll when he spotted a blaze at the Ffrith Beach Festival Gardens in Prestatyn.

Quick thinking saw him dash home for equipment to video the devastating holiday site blaze, and interview the local councillor.

His next step was to alert editor Steve Rogers - dragging the super-fit scribe away from a badminton court.

George then worked late into the night editing the footage to ensure that the Journal was able to run exclusive film the following morning.
