Most iconic Western Mail front page is chosen

Readers of the Western Mail have chosen the most iconic front page from the paper's 138-year history.

Headlined "Wales Says Yes", the P1 from September 19, 1997 - proclaiming that morning's result of the devolution referendum - was voted the most memorable and important front page from the Mail's archives.

More than 60 per cent of e-mail and postal votes chose that front page after readers were invited to have their say.
