A newspaper page editor who leads a double-life as a 7ft dog has received a Royal letter of thanks - after sending a Christmas card to the Queen's corgis!
James Hardaker, who works for the South East Target group in Lincolnshire, is a volunteer for Skegness charity Keith's Rescue Dogs - often dressing up as mascot 'Dave the Dog' - and sent a card to the corgis from the charity.
The group has now received a reply back from Sandringham House, signed by one of the Queen's Ladies-in-Waiting.

and the letter
James said: "Loads of people send Christmas cards to Her Majesty, so we thought we'd do something different – being a dog charity, we
decided to send one to her corgis!"
The charity cares for and rehomes abandoned dogs, and so the card had a picture of a rescue dog called Bruno on the front as well as information about the group and its work.
The letter back said: "The Queen wishes me to write and thank you, and all the staff at Keith's
Rescue Dogs, for your charming Christmas card.
"Her Majesty greatly appreciated your kind thought and good wishes, and hopes that you too had a very happy Christmas."
James said: "It was nice to get a letter back.
"We wanted to share the reply with everyone who supported Keith's Rescue Dogs so generously during 2006, because our supporters are every
bit as crucial as our volunteers."
