Ex-Yorkshire Post editor appointed editor-in-chief of Press Association

Former Yorkshire Post editor Tony Watson has been appointed editor-in-chief of The Press Association.

He will begin his new role on January 1, and will also join the PA Group board of directors.

He will succeed Paul Potts, current editor-in-chief, allowing Paul to focus on his role as chief executive of PA Group, owner of The Press Association.

As editor-in-chief, Tony will take responsibility for the strategic and commercial development of The Press Association, including the core news agency, entertainment and editorial services.
